So you want to make some homemade dog biscuits for your pup? Here’s a great and super simple recipe that, I promise, your pup will enjoy.
Why did we start making homemade treats?
Chase isn’t a picky eater, but that didn’t mean he wasn’t selective with his treats. For off-leash training we needed a really high value reward that kept him coming back to us rather than pursuing whatever scents he would find. With that being said, we wanted something that was delicious, healthy, and easy to bring in treat bags that didn’t create a mess.
Not only does he love these treats more than anything, but they store well, break up easily for small treats and take less than 30 minutes from start to finish!
We would recommend that you store them in the refrigerator or freezer so they last a bit longer. Many dogs will eat them out of the freezer and love it so don’t be shy about making them nice and cold!
These treats also make great gifts for other dog owners. We always wrap them up and pass them out around the holidays- not only are they fun presents but the treats seem to be holiday inspired as well.
